Updated: Jun 23, 2021

The POSCO Startup Idea Marketplace was held at the POSCO Center on the 21st. The Idea Marketplace is a venture startup support program established by POSCO to support startups since 2011 and has been operated twice a year. So far, it has discovered and nurtured 173 excellent venture start-ups, and directly invested 14.2 billion won in 87 of them.

There are 16 teams participating in the 17th Idea Marketplace. The selection team was selected for the idea fostering camp in early February and advanced to the final round on the 21st after undergoing business direction, business model consulting, 1:1 training, and in-depth mentoring for four months. The theme of the day was Big Bang, and each team conveyed the ripple effect they will have on the world with their own keywords.

“The surest way to ensure future growth is to discover innovative ideas and create an atmosphere and system to realize them through start-ups,” said POSCO Chairman Jeong-woo Choi. I believe that the idea marketplace company will prove it.”

Participating startups are teams selected and nurtured in four fields: ▲bio/medical ▲machine/materials ▲electric/electronics ▲knowledge service. Pyuman, who participated in the biomedical field, introduced Brain Therapy, which relieves brain fatigue by physically applying acupressure to the vagus nerve in the ear. Cellsmith, which is researching and developing microwell-based 3D cell culture equipment and hair bed, and Health & Medicine, which operates a smart animal hospital business based on an electronic medical record (EMR) system, also appeared on the IR stage as the subject.

“The impact we will have on the world is cleanliness.” In the field of machinery and materials, Cheongsu Industries introduced an oil-water separation nanofilter that can separate water and oil at once. Oh Gye-dong, CEO of Cheongsu Industries, said, “With nano plasma processing technology, it is possible to recover all oils from silicone oil with low viscosity to crude oil, thereby reducing secondary environmental pollution caused by existing disaster prevention.” , I will deliver cleanliness in my daily life.”

Shinsung Turbo Master advocated change and innovation. The purpose is to accommodate various needs within the industry while providing customized pumps that have been used for more than 100 years but have not changed. C2C, which raised the filter function in air and water quality with functional catalyst manufacturing technology, introduced ‘Clean’. Unlike conventional coating catalysts, it is possible to remove odors, harmful gases, and bacteria with the C2C material catalyst, which expands the contact area while maintaining pores. C2C plans to create a clean environment centering on the air purifier filter and water treatment filter market.

In addition, in the field of machinery and materials, ▲CGI, which is developing a thin plate heat dissipator for eco-friendly car battery heat dissipation, and ▲Ecom, an industrial ventilation system based on computational flow analysis technology, took the IR stage. In the field of electricity and electronics, ▲ Smart Face Recognition Knowledge Service ▲ CVT ▲ Soft measurement-based inspection solution for the development and mass production of ICT devices such as semiconductors ▲ 3D molding and printing solution Multi-Cosi, ▲ All-in-one pre-charge voltage hub Lycan Slope participated. .

Microwatch, an indoor/outdoor interworking environment management service, ▲ Big data-based short-term workforce matching solution Uno Solution ▲ Artificial intelligence architectural design solution Ten-Eleven ▲ Real-time text analysis technology development platform DOUB participated in pitching in the field of knowledge service.

Meanwhile, networking and exhibition booth tours continued after the signing ceremony. Startups nurtured by POSCO set up exhibition booths throughout the venue to welcome visitors.
